"In this work, I have choreographed the structural strength of the leaves with the subtle movement of the flower head to emphasise this contrast. By exaggerating negative space, the composition highlights an unexpected elegance, encouraging the viewer to reconsider notions of beauty within the natural environment.

This work explores the quiet beauty of overlooked natural forms through a small perennial herb often dismissed for its problematic reputation. The composition foregrounds the tension between delicate, leafless flower stems and the structural presence of basal, spear-shaped leaves."
