".........such subtle nuances and fiddly bits………I don’t want to ignore any of it just because it may be taxing ……..and there’s much more I want to build on…….so little by little she grows. This painting is 107x75 cm….on the large side and difficult to manoeuvre so I paint it on its side upside down and on its opposite side and every time I turn it around it changes my perception of what I’ve already painted sometimes helping my assessment of detail and allowing me to ‘see’ it better. Although this is for practical reasons it brings benefits to my visual analysis as I look anew at it……from a different point of view........ "
