​"......this work reflects a sustained engagement with tulips and the enduring influence of Rory McEwen whose work I first encountered during my studies at Edinburgh College of Art in the 1970s. Tulips remain central to my interests, shaped by my Dutch heritage. The use of vellum and involvement with the Wakefield and North of England Tulip Society underscore a commitment to tradition, restraint, and artistic lineage.
